Junior running back visits PSU

Running back Desmon Peoples of Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood Catholic had to deal with a transfer this season, but that has not slowed down the dynamic junior. Peoples currently holds two offers, and also took a visit this weekend to check out a Big Ten program.
"Recruiting is going great," said Peoples, who is 5-foot-7 and 165 pounds. "I recently got my second offer from Pitt."

This offer from the Panthers joins his first offer which came from Rutgers. However, with the interest Peoples is currently receiving, these two may soon have company.
"UConn, Virginia, Oregon, UCLA, Boston College, West Virginia, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, Florida, LSU and a couple more schools are showing me a lot of interest," said Peoples.
On Saturday, Peoples had the opportunity to check out Penn State in person.
"It went well," said Peoples. "It was my first time being able to see a real D1 crowd and I loved it. Just hearing the crowd chant made me want to suit up. Any football player that doesn't want to play in front of that crowd needs to go soul searching."
While he did not mention them originally, Peoples is hoping to visit another program in the near future.
"Notre Dame," said Peoples. "They haven't been sending me letters, but they have contacted my coaches."
Despite his transfer from St. Joseph's Prep, Peoples has not missed a beat this season.
"It's going great," he said. "We're 10-0 and competing for the championship next weekend against Father Judge. I also made first team all-league and MVP of the league, so I'm doing pretty well."
Peoples did not know his specific statistics through ten games, but did know that he has rushed for over 1,000 yards and totaled over 20 touchdowns.
