Junior RB wants to check out Gators

Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge running back Brandon Davis is hoping to get down to Gainesville, Fla., at some point during the coming months to check out the defending national champion Gators.
"I do want to check out Florida," he said. "We're still in the process of trying to get down there so I can see what it's all about."

Virginia Tech was the first school to offer the 5-foot-9, 190-pounder.
"The Thursday before the Chic-fil-a Bowl here in Atlanta, the coaches from Virginia Tech invited me down for practice," Davis said. "I got to meet with their running back Branden Ore and he told me what the program. A week later, they got in touch with my dad and offered me."
Davis figures to be highly-recruited and has been getting tons of attention by way of mail from a number of programs.
"I'm receiving a lot of stuff from Florida, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Miami (Fla.), Florida State, Wake Forest, Connecticut, Purdue, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Duke and Michigan," Davis said.
In addition to the Gators and Hokies, Davis wants to check out Wake Forest and Georgia this spring.
Davis' brother, Phillip Davis committed to Tulane this week. His other brother, Jason Davis, plays at Georgia Tech.
Davis ran for more than 1,300 yards as a junior. He is coached by Blair Armstrong at Peachtree Ridge.
