Junior RB Shell has huge offer list

Aliquippa (Pa.) Hopewell running back Rushel Shell had received several impressive verbal offers from schools prior to the start of his junior season.
Now his offer list is even more impressive and probably stacks up well with almost any in the country.

The 6-foot, 210-pound running back says he has received verbal offers from Pitt, Penn State, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Tennessee, Purdue, Oregon, UCLA, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Ohio State, North Carolina, and Georgia, among others.
"All those schools have verbally offered," he said. "There's a bunch more but I can't remember all of them."
Shell said he does not have any favorites and that "they're all the same," referring to the schools that have offered.
Most of those verbal offers have arrived since the beginning of September when the contact period started up.
"I visited Pitt recently and I'm going down to West Virginia in October," Shell said. "Then I'm going down to Ohio State when they play Penn State. I'll be at that game. As soon as football's over I'll go to Alabama, Florida and schools like that."
Shell said location is the least of his worries and the biggest factor in his decision will be finding a school that will put him on the field as a true freshman, as he does not want to take a redshirt season. He believes he is best suited for an offense with a power running game though he did not rule out the possibility of playing in a spread offense.
Hopewell's season has been tough so far as they have just a 1-3 record. They have played some good teams but all of their losses have been by a touchdown and in all of those games they have led by twenty points before falling apart late.
Shell has rushed for more than 800 yards in just four games and has also spent time at outside linebacker.
"I've been playing good but if we ain't winning then I guess I'm not playing good enough," he concluded.
