Junior RB already picking up interest

Hitchcock, Texas running back Marquis Lowe has not received any scholarship offers, yet, but it isn't for a lack of coaches knowing who he is.
"Every coach that has come by here this year to recruit our tight end Josh Bell has noticed who Marquis was," Hitchcock assistant coach Craig Smith said. "They all have film from this year's games with Josh in them and they all have plenty of film to watch Marquis."

Smith felt like Lowe resembled one of this year's top running backs in the state.
"We are just four miles away from LaMarque," the coach said. "Marquis reminds me a lot of their guy this year, Russell Ball. They are both built about alike. They have a lot of the same qualities on the field, too. They can run around a lot of people or if you give them a little hole, they can really hurt you. He is super special."
The schools that have expressed the most interest so far in the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder are the ones that have been to Hitchcock to see Bell.
"Right now, the schools that are recruiting Josh have seen more of Marquis. But, that will change. We're working up his highlight film and we'll be sending that out before long for coaches. Then we'll see what kind of interest comes for him and how serious schools are.
"So far, every coach that has left our office here when they were done talking to us, has told us they would be back next year."
Lowe rushed for 2,067 yards on 262 carries and 29 touchdowns during the 2004 season. He also threw the ball 95 times, completing 54 of them for 1,096 yards and 10 touchdowns.
