Junior OL visits two ACC schools

Junior offensive lineman Andrew Maddox of Woodbridge (Va.) has taken two visits this fall to ACC programs, and is hoping to catch the attention of a few more in the coming months.
"Recruiting is good," said Maddox, who is 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds. "I'm getting early interest from Virginia, Maryland, Penn State and I have received recent letters from Wisconsin and Nebraska. Richmond wants me to keep them updated as well."

This fall, Maddox has taken unofficial visits to both Virginia and Maryland.
"They went very well," said Maddox. "Virginia has continued to follow up with me and Maryland has said that they will talk after the season. Overall the visits were fantastic."
When more time becomes available, Maddox hopes to make a few more visits.
"I would definitely like to visit Richmond and I have sent my stuff to East Carolina, so hopefully they will like it and want me to come visit," said Maddox, who attended summer camps at Maryland, Virginia and East Carolina. "I'm targeting ACC schools and James Madison. I am honestly open to anywhere."
This fall at Woodbridge, Maddox lined up at both left and right tackle.
"The season was good for me," said Maddox. "I played every offensive play and was on the field goal team. I got second team All-District. As a team we started off a little shaky, but after we got people in the right spots we started moving along and made it to the playoffs."
Maddox noticed a few improvements in his game compared to last season.
"Definitely my speed and quickness," said Maddox. "I was able to block faster defensive ends and tackle, and I have definitely gotten stronger, which I could tell through my run blocking and also my aggressiveness."
