"I have three scholarship offers right now," junior offensive lineman Dan Doering said. "Northwestern offered me this spring."
"I went to five camps this summer. I went to Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, and Notre Dame. Wisconsin and Iowa offered me at their camps."
"All five are great schools. I had a blast at all five camps. I'm looking at all of them."
"And Tennessee and Stanford have contacted me a lot."
"And I get letters from all over the Big Ten, like Michigan and Penn State. Those are two more."
"Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and Iowa are probably my top three."
The 6-foot-6 and 280 pounder from Barrington will be one of the top prospects in the state of Illinois in the class of 2005. Doering has great feet, bench presses close to 300 pounds, and has a 3.2 GPA.
