Columbus (Ohio) Independence standout Jacob Ramsey missed his entire junior football season, but recruiters are still well aware of him. Ramsey was an all-city selection on the defensive side of the ball his sophomore year.
The 6-foot-0, 205 pound Ramsey, who was slated to play tailback this season, broke his ankle during the first scrimmage and missed the entire season.
Ramsey should be 100% healthy for his senior season and will be the feature guy for his team's offense.
"I received an invitation to participate in the Army all-star game Jan. 15," Ramsey said. "I'm about 90% healthy right now."
Despite the injury, Ramsey is drawing plenty of attention from recruiters.
"I'm really interested in Florida State," Ramsey said. "I like Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia Tech.
"Florida State is my favorite. Ohio State is really my favorite, but I'd rather go away from home.
"I don't have any offers yet. The coaches want to see me at the combines and camps."
Ramsey has attended a game at Cincinnati and says he might attend Notre Dame's game this weekend.
