Junior DE planning busy winter, spring

Junior defensive end Jesse Aniebonam of Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel already has a trio of offers, but a number of other schools are beginning to show serious interest. As a result Aniebonam hopes to check out several schools when his schedule clears up.
"Recruiting has been moving along pretty well so far," said Aniebonam. "I have been keeping in contact with certain coaches and such and it's moving along pretty well."

Aniebonam, 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, has offers from Auburn, Maryland and Hawaii, but to this point he has only taken a recent visit to check out the Terps due to travel and timing restricitions.
"I will be visiting more schools during winter break and in the spring," he said. "Really I would like to visit Alabama and Auburn, and also Georgia Tech again. Ohio State and Clemson again. Those are all place I definitely want to visit."
Interest is growing as Aniebonam is piecing together an impressive junior season.
"The season is going very well for me I believe," he said. "I've led my team in all-around tackles during the past three games and I've been racking up the stats since then."
Aniebonam was not sure about his tackle total to this point, but he did know that he already has 6.5 sacks.
"I think my footwork and my block reads have improved significantly from last year," he said. "Also my hand progressions and aggressiveness have gained positively to my advantage as well."
