Junior DB still holding at two offers

Junior safety Victor Johnson is ready for the playoffs and is certainly ready to see how many scholarship offers he accumulates before next spring.
The 6-foot, 170-pound Waco, Texas junior defensive back will face off against Corsicana this Friday night for the first round of the playoffs. On the recruiting side of things, he's already picked up his first two scholarship offers from Baylor and Texas Tech. More should be coming.

"Those are the only two right now, but I get letters from all over the country," Johnson said. "I've got a couple schools in mind that I like – that's like Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Miami, Texas Tech, and some others."
"There really isn't one team recruiting me harder than others. They all send a ton of mail. It's hard to say one sends more than some others."
Johnson has had three interceptions so far on the year and is heading into the playoffs looking to go far this year.
"I haven't had as many tackles this year, but I've really had my interceptions go up," Johnson said.
As far as what he's looking for in a school, he says that distance from home won't necessarily be a factor. Stepping on the field early looks to be important though.
"It's really wherever I can play," Johnson said. "That's what I'm looking for. I'm just thinking about playing time and where I can get that."
