Junior Becker draws plenty of interest

Plymouth (Minn.) Wayzata linebacker Tommy Becker will be one of the top prospects in the state of Minnesota next season and is already drawing plenty of attention from recruiters.
The 6-foot-2, 230 pound Becker played alongside Ohio State commitment James Laurinaitis in Wayzata's 4-4 defense this season. Becker made 139 tackles and intercepted three passes. Becker was an all-conference and all-metro selection. He bench presses 315 pounds and squats 450.

"I get a lot of mail from Kansas," Becker said. "And Boston College. Wisconsin has sent a couple of letters. Cal, Iowa State, TCU, Illinois, Florida State, Ohio State, those are some others that are sending mail.
"I'm going down to Minnesota with my coach.
"I'm interested in anywhere in the Big Ten. I've thought about Ohio State. I've always liked Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota."
