Junior back has an early favorite

Despite a nagging injury this season, junior running back Quentin Briggs of Charleroi (Penn.) still showed his potential and has colleges interested in his abilities. The junior also has an early favorite that he was eager to discuss.
"Recruiting is going pretty good actually," said Briggs, who 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds. "I get tons of letters. I just have to keep my grades up and stay in the weight room."

Briggs mentioned that NC State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Penn State and Akron have been the most aggressive in the early stages of his recruitment, but that he has yet to visit any schools. He does have one visit in mind though.
"Yeah, I want to visit Penn State the most," said Briggs. "I love their program. I love the way their offense is spread out and I looked into their lifting program, and it's really nice."
On the field this fall, Briggs had to battle an injury that slowed down both he and his team. However, he was able to show his talents once it fully healed.
"We finished 3-6," said Briggs. "I was having problems with my ankle, which I broke before camp and re-sprained in the first game of the season. I didn't run how I was known to run, but I still did what I could do to help the team. When it healed all the way, I had some pretty good games."
