Junior athlete ready for visits

Junior athlete Elijah St. Hilaire of Palisades Park (N.J.) stayed busy last fall with several visits in between his games. Now he is ready to hit the road again, with his first junior day coming up this weekend, and several other visits in the works.
"Recruiting has been going great," said St. Hilaire, who is 5-foot-10 and 176 pounds. "I got to a lot of games this year. I also got invited to a lot of combines, but unfortunately I couldn't make them. And I'm going to the Rutgers junior day on the 15th."

As he mentioned, St. Hilaire attended several regional games and even made it to a bowl game.
"I got out to Pitt, Penn State, Rutgers and UConn," said St. Hilaire. "I missed a lot of other invites because of my football schedule, but I even made it out to the Pinstripe Bowl."
St. Hilaire gave some more insight on the visits he took.
"I really liked most of them," he said. "I went to a lot of Rutgers game this year, mainly because Rutgers is near, so I've gotten really close to Rutgers. But I loved the Pitt and Penn State games. They were so energetic, and the teams play great."
Overall, he believes that three schools are currently showing him the most interest.
"Right now I would say that Rutgers, Pitt and Penn State are showing me a lot of interest," said St. Hilaire. "I stay in close contact with the coaches there."
Aside from his upcoming visit to Rutgers, St. Hilaire has three other schools in mind that he would like to visit.
"Cincinnati would be good," he said. "Coach Maurice really wants me to get out there. Duke has sent a lot of invites, and also Syracuse."
This fall, St. Hilaire had 54 receptions for 896 yards and 11 touchdowns, 98 carries for 483 yards and four touchdowns, and also 997 yards and four touchdowns on 30 kick returns. Overall he finished with 2,386 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns.
"I had a breakout year this year," said St. Hilaire, who is being recruited at multiple positions. "Most schools are recruiting me as an athlete. My main position is wide receiver, but I also play defensive back on defense and I did a lot of moving around this year to quarterback and running back."
