Jumbo OL has VTech, Pitt on top

Jumbo offensive tackle Ashton Muslimani from Chesapeake (Va.) Greenbriar Christian Academy has started to feel the evaluation period onslaught from schools in the SEC and Big East.
"Pittsburgh called and they are sending me letters every day. If they give me an offer I'd definitely take it because they are a Division I program I like and I'd rather play in the cold than the heat," he said. "Florida has also been sending me stuff. I don't know if I'd want to play at Florida because I don't know if I could go in there and start."

Muslimani recently took in the Virginia Tech Nike Camp and the 6-foot-5, 360-pound lineman even took in a junior day there earlier in the month.
"I didn't get to talk to Frank Beamer, but I met defensive coordinator Bud Foster. He told me that he plans to keep in touch and he'll try to come down and watch one of my games this year," he said. "I really like the school and it's nice up there and I just always liked them since I was little. They are my favorite college team. I haven't been getting too much interest from Tech though and I don't know too much else about them."
Muslimani's early favorites are Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech. Recently Muslimani made a stop through James Madison.
"They are my number one Division I-AA school," he said. "They've been sending me a lot of stuff over the last year and the coach took me to his office and I met the offensive line coach and they are really nice."
As for next year, the lineman prospect is working hard in preparation to help Greenbriar Christian to a solid season.
"I'm running three days a week, lifting four days and I'm on the track team," he said. "I'm seeing that I'm definitely getting faster and stronger than last year. I've been dedicated and working hard and I think I can definitely do a lot better than I did last year. I would like to make all-state again and I'm hoping we have a winning record and maybe win state."
This summer Muslimani plans to attend camps at James Madison, Virginia Tech and Virginia.
Last season the lineman was named all-conference and all-state as a junior.
