Julius in the early stages

Orlando (Fla.) Evans cornerback James Julius has landed a few offers in recent months and has more schools evaluating him at this time.
"Boston College, Cincinnati, FIU, Memphis, and South Alabama have offered me," Julius said. "I am getting interest from a lot of other schools. I am getting interest from schools like Iowa State, Wake Forest, Duke, and Kentucky. I am also hearing from Pittsburgh. I am supposed to hear from them (Pittsburgh) by Tuesday on whether or not they are going to offer."

At this point in the process, the 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back says he is receiving the most interest from a Big East program.
"Cincinnati has talked to me the most so far so I would say they stand out but it is really early in the process," Julius said. "I have been dealing with Coach (Shannon) Morrison. We have a good relationship. We can basically talk about anything. He talked about how the campus is and the programs for the school, as far as academics. He has just told me to take my time with making a decision."
As for his next offer, if it doesn't come from Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Julius believes that a Big 12 program may step up with it by week's end.
"Iowa State just started showing interest but they are supposed to come to watch our spring game this Friday coming up," Julius said. "They came to practice and I guess they liked what they saw. They have written me some on Facebook. I think an offer is coming from them soon."
The Sunshine State prospect isn't in a rush to make a decision.
"I am not planning to make a decision until after my football season," Julius said.
At this time, Julius doesn't know of any upcoming visits.
