Juco WR Massey chooses UF

Florida dropped its rivalry game against Florida State on Saturday but received some good recruiting news Sunday.
Despite the loss, the Gators did enough over the weekend to entice three-star wide receiver Dre Massey from Goodman (Miss.) Holmes Community College to commit before leaving Gainesville.

Massey officially visited Oklahoma and South Carolina earlier this month, but Florida closed strong for one of the top receivers in the junior college ranks.

IN HIS WORDS: "Man, Florida is just love," Massey told Rivals.com. "They need my speed and explosiveness in that offense, and it's just a perfect fit. Coach Randy Shannon and coach Kerry Dixon are my recruiters and we have a great relationship.
"It's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Now it's just time to get there."
WHAT'S NEXT?: The 6-foot, 185-pound Massey had been scheduled to visit Auburn next month but said he would no longer take that trip. With the midyear transfer signing day fast approaching, Massey did not plan to continue listening to other programs.
