Juco WR heading to the Islands

Corsicana (Texas) Navarro J.C. two-star slot receiver Lucious Henderson was recruited by Hawaii out of high school, and now the 5-foot-11, 180-pounder is heading to the Islands after stopping off the past two seasons at a junior college.
"I am definitely committed to Hawaii, and I will be headed over there this summer," Henderson said.

"I am really excited and can't wait to be a part of the team. I was really liking them right out of high school and actually committed to them, but then I went the juco route and now I am just ready to get out there and make an impact."
Henderson said he was mainly a defensive back in high school, but he's now found a home at receiver.
"Originally they were recruiting me as a cornerback, but now after I went to juco and played some receiver, they see me as a slot receiver kind of guy," Henderson said. "I love the offense that they run man it is real exciting to watch. They play fast and guys are getting a lot of catches. I just love the run-and-shoot."
Henderson is also excited about Hawaii's big season on the field.
"Seeing them in the Sugar Bowl is really cool," he said. "It is good to see a smaller school getting out on the big stage like that. When they were recruiting me out of high school, they were improving and starting to get some exposure but now they are big time, and I can't wait to get over and be a part of it."
Henderson said he'll be ready to make the most of his chances for the Warriors.
"I am working on getting a little bigger physically and working on my hands," he said. "I just want to improve so I can make an impact and we can get back to the point that they are at right now or even better than that."
