JUCO torn between visiting Tide, Gators

Three-star Dodge City (Kan.) defensive lineman

Freddie Saint Preux on Thursday
entertained pitches from both of the schools battling for his final official
visit date.
"Florida came to see me here today," he said. "Coach
(Bill) Miller was telling me how much they want me to come in and make my visit
on the 31st. He said I'm their No. 1 guy, that they're in desperate need of
defensive linemen who can step in and play right away.
"Coach (Joe) Kines called me from Alabama and pretty
much said the same thing. He said they're losing three defensive linemen to the
NFL and they're not real sure the freshmen they've got can come in and help them
right away. He said I could make a huge impact on their defense."
So does anyone have the upper hand for the coveted fifth
and final visit?
"Not right now," he said. "Maybe a slight edge for
Florida because Alabama's on probation, but I haven't decided yet. I probably
won't make up my mind until after this weekend."
Preux, who originally signed with Central Florida out of
high school, will visit Clemson this weekend. He's already made trips to Texas
A&M (1/10) and South Carolina (1/17).
"I don't have a favorite," he said. "I need to make
those other visits first. They're all great schools, though. I don't feel like I
can go wrong; just need to find the best fit for me."
