Juco standout DT makes decision

One of the hardest positions to fill on any D-I roster is the defensive tackle position. Getting good ones that can make an impact are a rare find indeed. Cedrick Fisher (6-3, 320, 4.9) from Santa Monica (Calif.) City College is one of those. The former Florida high school star has made his commitment.
"I never thought I would ever play out west," Fisher said. "I played high school football in Florida and thought I would end up playing back there."

"I took a trip to UNLV and I was very impressed," Fisher said. "Out of all the trips I took, UNLV was the one I enjoyed the most."
"I was very impressed with the facilities," Fisher said. "I just felt that UNLV was the best fit for me."
"I feel I can come in and compete for a starting spot," Fisher said. "I'm excited to get going."
Another positive aspect of Fisher is he's a player who has three years to play three.
Fisher was dominating during his red shirt freshman season racking up 65 tackles and eight sacks even though he had to fight through double teams on almost every single play after his third game.
UNLV won the services of this talented defensive lineman over offers from Middle Tennessee State, UCF, Illinois and Pittsburgh.
