Juco safety likes Rocky Top

San Francisco City College safety Gibril Wilson was surprised by his visit to Tennessee this weekend. Surprised on many fronts, actually.
“Yea, really I am surprised,” said Wilson. “I was surprised about the environment there. I had never been to the South before. I was expecting cowboys and cows everywhere, but really it was like being at home. I would have no problem adjusting to Tennessee if I decide to go there.”

Wilson said he does not have a leader at this point in the process. He’s already visited Washington, USC and now Tennessee. He is set to visit Florida on Dec. 14 and does not have a date lined up with Oregon.
“Certainly Tennessee stands out there,” said Wilson. “But, I don’t have a leader, and I still have Oregon and Florida to visit.”
Wilson is a December graduate that wants to make his decision as soon as possible, but if he doesn’t find a leader in the recruiting process soon, that could drag on longer than he wants.
“It’s just so tough right now,” Wilson said. “The teams, coaches, fans and players at all of the places I’ve been are so great. I guess I have some thinking to do.”
