JuCo safety favors one

Defensive back Olando Fisher is close to making his decision. Fisher, a defensive back from Nassau Community College, is leaning towards staying in New York to play his college football.
"Man I love Syracuse," Fisher said. " I was there this weekend and I had a fun time. I felt at home. The coaches are respectable. I mean they are cool. I like the town a lot as well.

"Right now they are my leader at this point. I have to make a decision by the 16th and I will likely do something really soon. I just need to talk with my mom.
Syracuse is my big offer. I know Miami has called about me. "
Fisher, 5-11 and 195 pounds, plays safety. He thinks he brings passion and leadership to the table.
"I am an intense player out there. I bring intensity and leadership to the huddle."
Fisher played his high school ball in Plainfield, New Jersey. He didn't sign with anyone out of high school. So how did he end up at Nassau CC?
"My papers didn't get sent to the Clearninghouse and I didn't think I was a qualifier. That's how I ended up there. But that experience has done wonders for me. It changed everything. I really grew up there and I owe so much to coach (John) Anselmo. Hopefully I will be playing for him. He's a wonderful coach."
