Juco RB leading conference in rushing

Butler County (Kan.) Community College running back Butler County (Kan.) Community College running back Ronald McClendon is still getting lots of phone calls.
“Nothing seems to let up,” McClendon said. “Schools call all the time. It’s about the same schools most of the time. Nebraska, Kansas State, Tennessee, Arkansas, Clemson and Mississippi are the main ones calling.”

McClendon has been fighting a minor injury these last few weeks.
“I’m fine. It’s not that big of a deal. I played last week and had 80 yards or so on just a few carries. It won’t keep me from playing any games that’s for sure.”
McClendon is the leading rusher in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference.
“That is something I’m proud of. That shows I can do it over the course of a year and can take a pounding.”
“I don’t really have a favorite among these schools. I want to put myself in the best situation I can. I’ll continue to look at the schools and what they have to offer.”
