The Latest: The Memphis Tigers have been on a roll in recruiting as of late and are already up to No. 43 in the Rivals.com Team Rankings. But Hinds (Miss.) Community College athlete Gerald McGee is hoping the class isn't full before he has a chance to come and prove he's worthy of an offer. The Tigers coaches have been in regular contact with McGee and he missed a chance to camp earlier this month because of transportation issues. He said he's not planning on letting that happen again and hopes to visit and workout for the coaches next month. Other schools like Florida State have also extend camp invitations so McGee figures to be a busy man next month.

In His Words: "Memphis talks to me every day or every other day so I'm just waiting on the offer to become official. They are watching me closely to make sure I’m going to get the grades I need so I can graduate and be available as soon as possible. I’m waiting on the next camp they have coming up so I can go up there and earn the offer."

Rivals Reaction: It's clear McGee has genuine interest in Memphis but the questions is, will he make it to campus and prove it in person? Only time will tell but it's clear that the Tigers are in good shape should they decide McGee is worthy of a take.
