Juco OL reverses field

Cerritos (Calif.) College offensive lineman Tom Robinson had committed to one school, now he has had a change of heart.
"I had committed to Kansas State," the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Robinson said. "But they really hadn't come through with papers of an official offer. I kept waiting to hear from them, but nothing was happening. They were on their bowl game trip and I guess they couldn't squeeze in the time to get me called and talk more about it."

That lack of action opened the door for another team of Wildcats.
"Arizona called me and wanted me to come up there and see them. So I ran up there this weekend. Since I'm graduated it was okay for me to go up."
And it was a trip worth taking in Robinson's eyes.
"Kansas State couldn't ever guarantee me getting in during the spring. It might be, it might be, but nothing ever for sure. So when Arizona laid the papers on the table this weekend for me, I signed them. I signed on my official visit to Tucson. It's a done deal."
