JUCO OL picks Golden Eagles

Brooklyn (N.Y.) ASA college offensive tackle Vincent Brown took an official visit to Southern Miss this weekend and he saw all he needed to see.
The 6-foot-6, 308-pound prospect committed to the Golden Eagles while he was in Hattiesburg, becoming the 20th verbal commitment for the school from the Class of 2010.

"I committed," Brown confirmed Sunday morning as he was driving to the airport to leave Mississippi.
"It went pretty good. I like how everything is Hattiesburg is like a family. From the team to the teachers and everything it's like one unit. Everybody has chemistry and everybody just wants to help you get better. They all want to achieve the same goal."
Brown said he spoke with head coach Larry Fedora, offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic and offensive coordinator Blake Anderson while he was in town. The coaches were a big reason he committed to the school.
"I talked to basically everybody," he said. "The coaches told me they feel like I can help the program as far as depth and getting better. They feel like if I can come here in the spring I should be able to learn the system and help next season."
Brown will finish up at ASA this month and he will enroll at Southern Miss in January.
