Juco OL looking for the right fit

San Jacinto (Calif.) Mt. San Jacinto College offensive guard Matt March was a second-team all-state selection as a freshman, and he's backed it up again with a solid sophomore campaign. He's now hoping the good play will allow him to head off to the next level of college football.
"I've been playing pretty good this season," March, who is 6-foot-4 and 294 pounds, said. "I've graded out in the 80s or higher in every game this season. I think I'm probably more suited to block for a passing offense. I'm way stronger against the pass rush than I am run blocking.

"We had a bye week last week, but the week before we won 19-0. We got into the redzone a few times and then kind of got away from running the ball. We throw the ball way more than we run it. We're leading the conference in passing yards."
March was a non-qualifier out of Elisnore High School and also has a Mormon background, so BYU is a team that has caught his interest, but it's not the only one.
"I just heard (Wednesday) from TCU," March said. "I talk to Henderson State and Portland State pretty often. BYU came down to the school and checked me out. That's about it. I haven't gotten any offers yet. TCU told me they want to see my highlight film and they'll inform me about an offer after that.
"I'll go anywhere near California. Just somewhere close to here. Nevada, maybe is somewhere that I'd go. I'd like to stay somewhere near the West Coast, but I'm open to anything if that's what it's going to take to play college football."
March said he hopes to pick a school that has good academic support.
"I want to go to a school where I'm not going to go into a class and bomb it," he said. "I want a good student-to-teacher ratio where the teacher is available to help me out. I also would like to get out of the heat, to tell you the truth. I wouldn't mind going somewhere cold.
"Hopefully I can have my decision made as soon as possible. I'm pretty interested in BYU. Coming from a Mormon background they've always been a school I've taken interest in. I've talked to their offensive line coach a few times, but that was about it. I don't have any visits set right now. After the season I'll worry about that. I'll be able to come in at semester."
