Juco OL can now get out at mid-term

Dodge City (Kan.) Community College offensive tackle Jeremy Darveau received some good news this weekend. Instead of having to wait until the after the spring semester to graduate, he can now sign on December 17 with the college of his choice, and with that news things have suddenly become awfully crazy in his world.
“It’s been like a whirlwind,” Darveau, who is 6-foot-6 and 304 pounds, said. “I was waiting and waiting and figured I would take my trips in January, but now all of a sudden my time table has been pushed up and quite a few teams are all of a sudden after me.”

That’s because there is nothing more valuable than a juco tackle that can come in during the spring and play next year.
“A bunch of new teams are starting to talk to me,” Darveau said. “I’m talking now to South Carolina, Rutgers, Middle Tennessee, Washington, Oregon, N.C. State and Maryland. I’m just waiting to see who will be able to offer me and want me to come in for an official visit. This is just happening so fast now.”
Darveau did set up a visit with MTSU for this weekend, but that visit is just tentative at this point until he sorts this situation out even further.
“It’s going to be hectic, but I’m excited,” he said. “This is a good thing.”
