Juco OL becomes hot target

Culver City (Calif.) West Los Angeles College junior college offensive tackle Brandon Jefferson was hoping to make it up to Oregon State this weekend for an unofficial visit, but the trip never happened because his ride stood him up.
Jefferson says it's all right, though, because he plans to check out OSU soon on an official visit, and that visit won't be his last either.

"I'm definitely going to set something up with them officially," Jefferson, who is 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds, said. "I do have an official visit set with Washington now for December 2. They've offered me, and they say they want me really bad.
"I'm also very close to getting an offer from Oklahoma. I talked to the coaches late last week, and all they need is the transcript from my coach before the offer is official. Once it is, I'm going to be heading out there for a visit. I really like talking to those coaches a lot. They're neat people."
Washington State is also jumping into the mix, too, and programs like Arizona and Kansas have made contact with him over the past few weeks.
Jefferson spent the weekend watching the USC-Fresno State game on television with several friends.
"Man, that was a game," he said. "That's what football is all about."
