JUCO lineman adding offers

Four-star offensive tackle Philip Freeman is one of the nation's best JUCO linemen. The quick-footed 6-foot-5, 280-pounder showed off his skills on Thursday night against one of the best JUCO defenses in the country.
Co-Lin traveled to Pearl River and gave a solid effort in a defensive struggle that ended with a 14-2 Pearl River win.

"Everything is going good with recruiting," Freeman said after the game. "Right now I've got offers from Oklahoma State, UAB, Southern Miss, Tulsa and Kansas State. Well, Kansas State isn't a written offer, but they've told me that they have a scholarship for me."
Although he was not highly recruited out of tiny Wesson (Miss.) High School, he is a hot commodity at the moment. In addition to his impressive list of offers, he is also hearing from Baylor, LSU, Mississippi and Mississippi State.
"There have been a lot of different schools calling, but those are the main ones," he said.
A couple of schools are starting to stand out.
"Southern Miss and Oklahoma State are the schools that are standing out the most," he said. "Both of those schools need offensive linemen mid-semester, and I graduate in December."
Freeman is a solid student and plans to major in physical therapy.
