JUCO LB wants to get back to DIA

For many of the kids that come through the California junior college system the dream is simple, get to DI. For Orange Coast College linebacker Aaron Miller the dream is a little different, get back to DI.
Miller is a bounceback player from UNLV where he redshirted in 2003. After struggling academically, he then opted to play at Orange Coast College for two years in hopes of getting back to the dream of playing DI football.

"The only thing I want to do is get back to DI," Miller said. "I really want to be playing DI anywhere."
Miller has recently received bites from Nevada and Arizona State and gets mail from Louisville and Texas A&M. He would love to play at USC, but understands that only so many get the opportunity to play for the Trojans.
"Going to Mission we all would go to the games," said Miller. "It was always a dream."
Miller is 6-foot, 220 pounds and recently ran the 40-yard dash in just under 4.6 seconds. He was a second team all-Mission Conference American Division selection after finishing second on the team with 72 total tackles. Miller is scheduled to be out in December with two years of remaining eligibility.
Miller was under-recruited in high school for multiple reasons, getting bites from only a few D1 schools.
"I had a hard time figuring out what sport I wanted to play," Miller said. "My greater accolades were in wrestling, and I was behind Ryan Powdrell (USC) in football."
Miller says that wrestling is a thing of the past and football was always his first love.
"Football has always been my passion," said Miller.
Miller also listed San Diego State as a desirable place to play.
"I'd love to go to San Diego State," Miller said. "It's close to home and I think all their linebackers are new."
