JUCO LB talks schools

Three-star inside linebacker, Donald Booker has been a force on the gridiron this season for Corsicana (Texas) Navarro J.C. In fact, six games into the season, no player has made quite the impact he has and Booker is hoping that his play will continue to garner his college interest.
"I lead the nation in tackles right now," Booker said. "All my games have been real constant. We're playing, trying to go out and get wins. If we win this weekend, we're guaranteed a spot in the playoffs."

At just past the halfway point in the season, Booker has accumulated 92 tackles, 7 for a loss and 1.5 sacks. His team now sits at 4-2 before a decisive game this weekend against Cisco Junior College. Despite his busy season, he still has an eye on recruiting.
"I've picked up some offers but I'm waiting to see what comes before a decision," he said.
Booker lists Tulsa, New Mexico, New Mexico State, UAB and Ole Miss as the schools currently showing him the most interest, but one is a clear leader based on some specific factors.
"I'm interested in Ole Miss," he said. "I want to play for a winning team that plays good teams where I can go in and start right away. I only have two years to play so I don't want to sit on the bench."
He maintains that the conference is a factor.
"I want to play in a major conference," he said. "I think I can handle it."
Booker has two years to complete two seasons of eligibility and he is working hard to make a December graduation.
