Garden City (Kan.) Community College four-star outside linebacker J.R. Bryant has had another masterful season, proving he's not only one of the best defenders in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference, but also in the nation.
The 6-foot-3, 228-pounder already has offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska and Oklahoma. He said he's recently picked up a new offer.
"I just picked up an offer from N.C. State," Bryant, who is the nation's No. 32 junior college player, said. "They called me like two weeks ago. It's kind of close to home so it's cool.
"But I'm hearing the most from Nebraska, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Ole Miss and N.C. State."
And those teams he's hearing from would represent the top teams on his list.
"I'll probably decide sometime after the season," Bryant said. "I graduate in the spring, so I'm not in a huge rush to make a decision. I've got a visit set up for Dec. 7 to West Virginia. I'm also trying to set up a visit to Ole Miss and then one to Nebraska when they have their banquet."
Bryant is pleased with the progress he's made this season.
"It's going good," Bryant said. "We're 7-1. I think I've got like 50 something solo tackles, an interception, about six fumble recoveries, three sacks and one blocked punt."
