Juco LB not worried about recruiting

One of the nation’s top junior college linebackers is LaDrelle Bryant at Garden City (Kan.) Community College. However, if you ask Bryant recruiting is really the last thing on his mind at this point.

“I haven’t talked to a lot of coaches,” Bryant, who is 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, said. “My phone was disconnected for a long time, so I don’t know of too many coaches that I’ve talked directly too. Most talk to my coach about me.”
Bryant, a Purdue transfer, said he really doesn’t know what he’s going to do at this point, and honestly he said he doesn’t care.
“I don’t know where I’m going,” he said. “I have a few options and offers, but it’s mainly from Big 12 schools, I guess. They’re all about the same to me.”
When asked if he wanted any teams specifically listed on his bio page, Bryant said he wasn’t concerned enough with recruiting to even list a few teams.
“I’m just working too hard on my home work,” he said. “I’ll worry about that later.”
Bryant, a three-star prospect, was one of the better linebackers in the Jayhawk Conference. He and his Garden City teammates were eliminated from the Jayhawk Conference playoffs last weekend by Butler County.
“I felt like I personally had a good season, but it doesn’t matter since we didn’t win it all,” he said. “I guess it was just those guy’s year.”
