Adams is being recruited to play safety on the Division-I level.
"Most of the schools would like to have me as a safety," Adams said. "They think I'm not big enough at linebacker. That is fine. I just want to make plays."
Adams is getting attention from several other schools as well. Recently calls from Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa, Tennessee, Alabama, Oklahoma and East Carolina have come.
"The phone rings a lot. But right now I'm focusing on the two. Michigan State is fairly close to my home in Belleville, Ill. I love the school and how they play.
"Southern Miss has a defense I could really enjoy playing in. I love the way they fly to the ball. Coach (Pat) Henderson is the one recruiting me for Southern Miss. He and I have just talked on the phone a lot. It seems like it is over an hour each time we talk."
Adams currently ranks fourth in the conference in tackles with 67. He also has two interceptions on the year.
