Juco LB could leave early

Ventura (Calif.) College linebacker Trevor Lyne has played just one season for the Pirates. A second season is a possibility for the former St. Bonaventure standout, but moving on the Division I-A level remains an option.
"Trevor played middle linebacker all season for Ventura," Lyne's father Alan said. "He was named first-team Western State Conference and was the defensive player of the year for his team."

Lyne, a 6-foot-1, 225-pounder, recorded 114 tackles and one interception on the season.
"Trevor has not really set his mind on leaving Ventura," Mr. Lyne said. "If he got a good offer he'd go, but he enjoyed the season he went through and it wouldn't be bad to stay where he is."
Not a lot of attention has come Lyne's way at this point.
"He had Oregon State and Portland State come down and see him during the season. Kansas State was there early on, too. He hasn't talked to any schools lately that I know of."
If Lyne chose to leave Ventura, he would have four years to complete his final three years of eligibility.
