JUCO five-star OT garners two more offers

Five-star offensive tackle Kevin Myers (6-6, 360, 5.0) from Compton (Calif.) Community College is living up to his lofty reputation. He has been kicking butt and taking names as a sophomore. It isn’t a mistake that Myers is one of most sought after players on the junior college level.
Myers already has offers from LSU, Oregon, San Diego, Marshall, Iowa State, NC State, UNLV, Tennessee and Cal.

Oregon State and Oklahoma State are the latest two schools that have offered Myers.
The USC Trojans are also very interested in athletic behemoth from Compton College.
“Coach (Pete) Carroll and (Ed) Orgeron told me that they want me to be a Trojan,” Myers said. “I’m known at USC by the staff as “Big Juicy”. They say “Big Juicy” we want you to be a Trojan. I don’t consider that an offer yet until I get it in writing.”
The talented tackle had a tentative visit scheduled for Oregon during his team’s bye week but the Ducks were out of town so the trip had to be canceled.
Now the visit will have to be rescheduled after the season.
“I’m not going to take any visits during the season,” Myers said. “I’m going put all of my efforts and concentration into the rest of the season.
In an earlier interview with Myers he told Rivals.com about his official visit to San Diego State.
“San Diego State has a lot to offer,” Myers said. “The trip is great and it was fun.”
“The people were nice and tried to help you in any way,” Myers said. “It was like being in a village and I know what that is like because I lived in a village.”
“I lived in a village of about 450 people in Belize from the age of 10 to just about 14,” Myers said. “People are nice and look after you, San Diego State was like that.”
On December 11 Myers will be heading to bayou country for a visit scheduled with LSU.
Since Myers spent a good deal of his youth in Belize he hasn’t played football that long and it only stands to reason that his best days on the gridiron are ahead of him.
Myers has gigantic upsides. He moves incredibly well for a man his size. According to Myers he has been timed in the 40 at 4.8. That is a big man who can move.
The versatile Myers is also playing defense on goal line situations and he even had three tackle in his last game.
Myers will have 3x2 years of eligibility on the D-I level.
