Juco DT reschedules due to bowl game

Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College defensive tackle Chadd Felps was scheduled to take his first official visit of the year. But, like several junior college players, bowl game preparation kept the visit from happening.
“We were getting ready to play our bowl game next weekend,” the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Felps said. “I wasn’t able to go visit Ohio. I will re-schedule the visit later. Between our game and the coaches having some work going on in their office, it was just best to wait to go.”

Felps is talking to Purdue and Arizona State about possible visits as well.
“Purdue is trying to figure out a date for me to come,” he said. “And our coach asked the other day if I would be interested in visiting Arizona State. I guess they called him looking for some defensive tackle help.”
Felps has put together a pretty good season for Coffeyville.
“I had a pretty good season,” he said. “I don’t know my stats or anything. We’ll get those when our season is finished. We’ve only lost two times all season. Both have been to Butler County when they rallied in the fourth quarter.”
