Juco DT lines up ECU visit

Garden City (Kan.) Community College defensive tackle D.J. Johnson has lined up his first official visit.
“D.J. is going to East Carolina this weekend,” Garden City coach Bob Larson said. “That is the only visit he has lined up right now. That’s really the only school I know of for him.

“Some other schools will come forward with opportunities for him. He’s a good player and some school we’ll get him to come visit.”
Johnson earned first-team All-American honors this season from the NJCAA.
“He’s a pretty good player,” Larson said. “We have sent out several copies of his tapes to some schools. So, it won’t be long and there will be some other schools calling.”
Johnson, a native of Houston, signed with Syracuse out of high school.
