Juco DT committed but thinks about it

Chris Solomona, the 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive lineman from El Camino (Calif.) Community College, is in the precarious position of being committed, but still taking official visits to other schools.
Solomona, who signed with Washington out of San Pedro High School in 2000, has committed to sign yet again with the Huskies in February of 2002.

But Solomona says he is also going to look at a few other schools to make sure that he’s made “the right choice”.
Solomona has already scheduled four official visits. The Huskies will entertain him on Dec. 14.
Solomona other official visits are as follows: Arizona on Dec. 7, Oregon on Dec. 21 and BYU on Jan. 18.
Kansas State could also get an official visit, Solomona said.
All of these other visits may be for naught, because Solomona sounds like he’s pretty sold on the Huskies.
“I committed to Washington this time for the same reasons I did the first time,” Solomona said. “I really like the coaches and when they came back here in the spring they talked to me and told me that they wanted me. That was really all I kind of needed to hear.”
But Arizona, Oregon, BYU and Kansas State are still going to try to impress Solomona. All of the schools involved have offered him a scholarship.
Solomona is expected to be a May graduate and will have three years to play two on the Division I level.
