Juco DL racking up offers

Defensive linemen are always on every D-I colleges wish list. You only have to look at the schools that have competed for the national championship over the years and they all have one thing in common. They all did a great job dominating the line of scrimmage. There is a juco defensive lineman who already has multiple offers.
The player is defensive end Louis Holmes who plays for Scottsdale (Ariz.) City College. Holmes told that he stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 270 pounds while running a sub 4.7 forty.
Holmes didn't get the early recruiting attention that he probably deserved out of high because he moved to Florida from Tennessee for his senior season where he played for high school football talent factory Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard.
Holmes signed with Ohio State out of high school but also had offers from Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, NC State, Marshall and Toledo.
Playing primarily defensive end for Scottsdale CC he racked up 102 tackles and 11 sacks. His performance saw him receive juco first-team All-American and first-team all-conference honors as a freshman.
Holmes has tremendous versatility as a football player. During certain situations Holmes would line up at defensive tackle or outside linebacker.
In the weight room Holmes benches 430, squats 450 and has recorded a 35-inch vertical.
The scouting report on Holmes he is very strong and fast. He can out muscle and out quick an opponent. He also has good football instincts.
Holmes now has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan State, Louisville and Utah.
He is getting long looks from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, TCU, Auburn, Oregon, and Oregon State.
Scottsdale CC is getting new calls from colleges across the nation everyday about Holmes.
What is Holmes looking for in a school?
"First thing I'm looking into is a school where I can get a good education," Holmes said. "Then I'm looking into a coaching staff that treats its player's like family."
"I also want to go to a school with a good defensive line coach who can develop me for the next level."
Another thing that makes Holmes an attractive recruit is he currently carries a 3.7 GPA and he will be a December grad meaning he be able to participate in spring ball with the school that signs him.
