JUCO DL Ola Dagunduro is Big 12 bound

Just a few weeks ago, Compton J.C (Calif.) defensive lineman Ola Dagunduro looked like close to a done deal for UCLA after taking a couple of unofficial visits to Westwood earlier in the month. The Bruins 'dragged their feet' a bit and now the talented lineman is headed to the Big 12.
"I signed with Nebraska," Dagunduro said. "UCLA had my transcripts for about a month and had my tape too but they never got back to me. They kind of dragged their feet and I felt like I was the one recruiting them more than the other way around. Then out of the blue, Nebraska called me and coach Blake asked for my tape. He watched it and called me the next day and said he loved it and would offer me as soon as he got back to school and had Coach Callahan see it.

"Coach Blake then called me again and said Coach Callahan loved it to. I sent my transcripts out there and they offered me just a few days later. They asked me if I wanted to take a visit and I said I didn't need to, I was ready to commit to them right then and there. I actually committed last Wednesday I think and signed on Friday. I'll be leaving to go out there in a few days, January 6 and I'm really looking forward to it. Nebraska is a great school and I'm excited to be a part of what they're doing."
Dagunduro, 6-2, 305 pounds is a player we really liked on film when he stopped by the office at Student Sports just a month ago. He's a big, physical player and very quick off the ball. He'll have three years to play two and earned all-state honors this past season.
