Juco DE setting up visits

Butler County (Kan.) Community College defensive end Justin Tomerlin has been cleared to begin taking official visits after the semester ends. Plenty of schools have been expressing interest in the former Florida State signee, but where he ends up will depend on where all he visits.
“I am starting to re-plan my official visits,” the 6-foot-6, 265-pound Tomerlin said. “I can’t take them until after Dec. 17 is what the NCAA has decided, so I am trying to get them scheduled.

“I am going to Michigan State Jan. 7 and I am going to Louisville sometime in January. I don’t have a date set for that one, though. I’ll work on the rest of them sometime this week or next.”
Several other schools are in the hunt for the other three visits on Tomerlin’s schedule.
“I am talking with Oklahoma State, Florida State, Miami, Cal and USC about visiting, but we haven’t talked any dates. Those are the others I am interested in at this point.”
Tomerlin’s offer list has grown recently to include a few new schools.
“Louisville offered today and Oklahoma State offered late last week. Oregon and UCLA also offered recently, sometime in the last couple weeks.”
Tomerlin’s season came to a close in the NJCAA National Championship game against Pearl River (Miss.) Junior College.
“We lost the title game,” he said. “But, like our coach said, there are a lot of other schools who would like to have the chance to play for a title. It could sure be a lot worse. We could have been down all season and not been able to play in the game.”
