Juco DE opens recruitment

Antelope Valley (Calif.) Community College defensive end Taylor Martin committed to Iowa State in September. Now, with coach Gene Chizik leaving Ames, Iowa for Auburn the three-star rated prospect has decided to take a little look around.
"I am going to open my recruiting back up," the 6-foot-3, 265-pound Martin said. "I just don't know what I'm going to do right now. I want to see what else is out there.

"North Texas called me today. They look like a nice school. They just don't win a lot there, though."
Martin, a spring graduate, has some time to make his decision.
"I will take what time I need and take some visits. I really haven't heard from anyone else yet."
Martin had attracted interest from Kansas, Kansas State, Oregon State and Alabama State prior to making a commitment to the Cyclones.
"It has been a long time since I heard from any of them. They all kind of dropped off me when I made the commitment."
