Juco DE not ready to make call yet

Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College defensive end Wali Muhammad told his coaches back in Kansas that he was committed to Nebraska, but the 6-foot-1, 235-pound three-star selection said that isn’t quite the case – yet.
“Yeah, I told my coaches that’s where I’m going and that’s probably what is going to happen,” Muhammad said from his home in New Jersey. “I met with the Nebraska coaches today here with my high school coach and still have a few questions about who is going to be the defensive coordinator.

“Really that’s about all that is keeping me from being committed to Nebraska. I’m still considering Temple, too, but if things get figured out with the defensive coordinator, I’m likely to go to Nebraska.”
So despite everybody at Coffeyville saying that Muhammad is a commitment to the Huskers, it doesn’t look like this battle is done quite yet, especially if Walter Washington commits to Temple here soon.
“Walter is my boy,” Muhammad said. “He was talking to me about going to Temple with him, and I’m thinking about that. But I really think Nebraska might be the place for me.”
Muhammad said he met Washington on the visit to Temple.
It’s just another twist in turn in the turbulent journey that’s called following junior college recruiting.
