Juco DE looking all over country

Garden City (Kan.) Community College defensive end Rodney Allen was a key part of the Broncbuster defensive line this season and his talents are attracting schools from across the country during the recruiting process while the Miami native starts to look at which school to continue his football career.
“Rodney is a heck of a football player,” Garden City coach Bob Larson said. “He just kept getting better for us as the year went on and people are taking notice of that. We’ve had schools from all over showing interest in him and we had lots of schools here at the school yesterday talking to him.”

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Allen has only played football for three seasons.
“He played one year of high school football before he came here,” Larson said. “Then he played two years here, so I think as he learns more about the game which will come with more time on the field, he will just continue to improve. He will only get better and someone is going to be happy with him when they get him on the field next season.”
Allen recorded 62 tackles and 10 quarterback sacks in 2004 on his way to earning first-team All-Jayhawk Conference honors.
“I wouldn’t even guess where Rodney will end up right now,” Larson said. “He has plenty of options in front of him.”
Earlier, Allen listed Arkansas, Cincinnati, Florida, Kansas State, Miami, Michigan State and Oklahoma State as schools he was considering.
