Juco DE leaning toward UK

Three-star Dodge City (Kan.) Community College defensive end Cedric Koger will be making his final official visit this weekend and is close to making a college decision.
“I got to UAB this weekend,” he said. “I’ve been to Kentucky (10/31), East Carolina (11/14) and Troy State (11/21). I’m a December grad, so this will be the last one I take before I sign on the 17th.”

Asked if there was a leader for his commitment, Koger said: “I’m heavily leaning toward Kentucky right now. East Carolina would be second, but they’re pretty far behind. I like the opportunity I have to play right away for an SEC team like Kentucky. They have a big need for an outside linebacker, and I’ve enjoyed talking to their coaches during the recruiting process.”
Koger made an official visit to UK on Oct. 31, the weekend of the Arkansas game.
Unless UAB blows him away, look for the Wildcats to land his signature next Wednesday, the first day junior college December graduates can sign.
Koger (6-5, 246, 4.6) recorded 70 tackles and 8.5 sacks this season in earning All-KJCCC honors. He’s originially from Okeechobee High School in Florida.
