JUCO DE decides

Defensive end Ricky Miller (6-3, 250, 4.6) from Orange Coast (Calif.) College has ended his recruitment and has decided on who he will play his D-I football for.
“I chose San Diego State,” Miller said. “It’s a local school and my Mom is from San Diego so I have a lot of family down there.”

“I also know a lot of the players on the team,” Miller said. “I clicked with the coaches and I think the program is on the rise.”
“I went down there and enjoyed the game,” Miller said. “I liked how the defense really went after it.”
“I also San Diego State’s defensive line coach (Jim) House,” Miller said. “His players like him too.”
The good news for the Aztecs is he will join the program in January and participate in spring ball.
The Aztecs get a player who saw his stock take an upward swing. The very athletic Miller played fullback and linebacker in high school but he switched to defensive end this season and he took to the position like a duck takes to water.
Miller signed with Fresno State out of high school but was hurt his freshman year and transferred out. He was awarded a medical redshirt and therefore he will have three years to play two with the Aztecs.
Though Miller played banged up all season starting a with contusion on his knee that kept him out of action he bounced back only to break his hand. The gritty Miller played with a hand cast. In roughly four games Miller has racked up approximately 30 tackles and seven and half sacks.
The scouting report on Miller is that he is very athletics and has a great nose for the football with great speed off the edge.
Miller chose San Diego State over Washington (offer) and West Virginia.
Good get for Tom Craft and his San Diego State Aztecs.
