JUCO DE chooses his destination

Scooba (Miss.) East Mississippi Community College defensive end Zach Anderson has remained quiet throughout much of the recruiting process. He had a very impressive list of scholarship offers from across the country and has now reached a decision.
I committed to Louisville on Monday night," Anderson said. "I called coach Petrino and the coach that was recruiting me for them and told them. They were real excited, they said they couldn't wait for me to get on campus."

While prepping at Baldwin County High School in Bay Minette, Ala., Anderson was a 6-foot-2, 205-pound quarterback. Fast forward two years, add 60 pounds and two inches and Anderson is now one of the top junior college defensive linemen in the nation.
"I had a lot of good offers and a lot of good choices," Anderson said. "I gave them all a long hard look, but in the end Louisville was just the best for me. I feel like they present me with the best chance to go in and play right away. I think that they are expecting me to be a big contributor next year and that is the thing I was looking for the most."
As a freshman at East Mississippi Community College last season Anderson recorded 82 tackles and 10 sacks. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds, has a 330-pound bench press and has a 550-pound squat.
