JUCO DB lands first offer

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Chaffey free safety Aleem Harris (6-3 ½, 220, 4.4) has received his first offer and he could be on the verge of more. One of the things that colleges like about Harris is he’s a December grad and has three years to play two.
The Arizona Wildcats have offered Harris a scholarship while Oregon State, Washington State, USC and Colorado State have shown interest in Harris.

Harris has one visit set to Arizona the weekend of November 19th and he has committed tot take a trip to Oregon State but the date hasn’t been set at this time.
According to Harris, all the other schools mentioned are talking about tripping him.
“I think I will be able to make a decision after a couple of trips,” Harris said. “But I do like Arizona a lot.”
The scouting report on Harris is he covers a lot of space and plays hard whistle-to-whistle. He’s very physical and tough against the run.
Harris is also excellent in pass coverage. He has the size to stay with the taller wide receiver that are so much in vogue today and he has the speed to cover the faster, swifter receiver. Case in point, Harris even played some cornerback in 2004.
So far on the season, Harris has racked up 108 tackles, two forced fumbles and two fumble recovery.
Chaffey is brought down a lot and plays a hybrid linebacker because of his tackling skills. His two forced fumbles gives you an indication of Harris’ hitting ability.
