Juco CB receives first offer

North Dakota State College of Science cornerback Justin Brown has had help from his coaches in getting his name out to college coaches this spring. That effort by the Blue Springs, Mo., native and his coach has paid off with the first scholarship offer for the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder.
"Iowa State called today and told me they were offering Justin a scholarship," NDSCS assistant coach Mike Shafer said. "They are pretty excited about him and his abilities, too."

Brown, who is at home until later in the summer, was excited about the offer from the Cyclones as well.
"Justin was very excited about the offer," Shafer said. "It is his first offer and he is very excited about it. Hopefully, there will be more to come for him."
Another Big 12 Conference school that is high on Brown is Kansas.
"KU loves him," the coach said. "I left them a message today about Iowa State offering him. The coaches were just getting back into the office after being on the road and they will probably be getting back to us pretty soon."
As a cornerback, Brown finished the season with 50 tackles, 11 pass break ups and three interceptions. As the kick return man for NDSCS in 2004, Brown led the conference with a 28.4 yard average per return.
