JUCO Berry picks up new offer

Orchard Park (N.Y.) Erie C.C. cornerback Destry Berry has shown a lot of patience throughout the recruiting process and his patience appears to be paying off.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound junior college defensive back has had an offer from Buffalo for a while. He's very interested in the Bulls but rather than jump on that first offer he has opted to wait things out to find out what all of his options will be.

On Monday a second school decided to put an offer on the table.
"I got an offer from New Mexico today," Berry said on Monday evening.
Though you wouldn't expect a junior college prospect from New York to know much about the Lobos, he has done a good bit of research on the school and the program so he has a decent idea of what they are all about.
"Well, they have a really young team," he noted. "They're in the Mountain West, which is a really good conference. They've got Boise (State) joining them next year so that's really exciting."
New Mexico will be hosting TCU on November 27, the last game of the regular season for both schools. Berry said he will either take an official visit to New Mexico that weekend or the weekend after that.
He does not have any other visits in mind.
